Day 9 Saskatoon
It's the final day of the road trip, after last nights win I left PA in a rain and snow storm. But after about 20 minutes on the road it quit snowing and raining and the trip back to Saskatoon was uneventful. I really appreciate how lucky Gordie is by playing in Kelowna. Coming out of the rink in relatively mild weather and spectacular scenery and a fairly cosmopolitan community versus my view of Prince Albert on a winter December evening.
The rink in PA is an older wooden framed rink very small and not a bad seat in the house. The crowd of about 1,900 was quiet for most of the game after  Kelowna got the lead.
A quick conversation with Gordie after the game and everyone on the team is looking forward to be getting home for Christmas. This is their longest road trip of the year and hopefully a win tonight and they can finish this trip with a 500 record.

My Air BnB hosts Tom and Rose provided a great breakfast and I helped out with their morning ritual of the daily crossword puzzle. They have been very nice and are great conversationalists and have shared many great stories with a lot  personal experiences both good and bad. I most definitely will come back for a visit should I have to be in Saskatoon again.

I'll pick up the boy after the game and make the 4.5 hour trek back to Wetaskiwin tonight.
I'll have a final game and trip summary tomorrow.
